The General Tax Authority has extended the deadline for submitting tax returns for the 2025 tax year to 30 June 2026, aiming to support taxpayers and improve compliance by allowing additional time for filing.
The extension applies to companies and entities holding commercial, trade, or home licenses, including tax-exempt organizations, which must file their returns through the Dhareeba Tax Portal to avoid penalties.
The relief covers taxpayers under Income Tax Law No. (24) of 2018, including Qatari and GCC-owned companies and charitable or public benefit organizations.
However, companies operating in the petroleum and petrochemical sectors remain excluded and must still file by 30 April 2026.
The authority encouraged taxpayers to use its support channels, including the call center (16565) and email assistance, to ensure timely compliance.
