Qatar, 30 April, 2026: The General Tax Authority and Edaa have signed an electronic linkage agreement to improve tax audit efficiency, enhance compliance, and support Qatar’s digital transformation goals.
The agreement was signed by Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Jaham Al-Kuwari and Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim Al Thani.
The new system will automate data exchange between both entities, reduce manual processes, improve accuracy, and provide real-time access to updated information. It will also help generate analytical reports and strengthen compliance with regulatory standards.
Both parties stated that the agreement is an important step toward building an integrated digital tax ecosystem and enhancing the efficiency of Qatar’s financial sector.
