UAE, 02 July, 2026: The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting strong growth in tax collections, registrations, and digital services.
Key highlights include:
- AED 46 billion collected in VAT and Excise Tax revenues in 2025, up from AED 41 billion in 2024.
- 1.7 million tax registration transactions processed, representing a 20% increase year-on-year.
- Over 245,000 Corporate Tax registrations and 98,000 VAT registration applications completed.
- Around 1.7 million Tourist VAT Refund claims processed and more than 7,000 VAT refund applications approved for newly built residences of UAE nationals.
The FTA also reported:
- More than 625,000 customer support interactions, with a 93% customer happiness rating.
- 175,500 market inspections conducted, leading to the seizure of 29.5 million non-compliant tobacco packs and 7.6 million other non-compliant excise goods.
- 210 tax awareness workshops attended by approximately 122,700 participants.
The report also highlights the Authority's continued investment in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and taxpayer engagement to improve compliance, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
