Bahrain, 24 September, 2026: The Bahrain National Revenue Authority (NRA) is developing an enhanced electronic service allowing VAT-registered businesses and taxpayers to submit review requests to its Reviews and Grievances Department.
The improved service aims to make the review process more transparent, efficient and accessible through the NRA’s electronic portal.

⏱️ Processing time reduced from 90 days to 60 days
The change follows a re-engineering of the service process, including simplified procedures designed to accelerate the handling of review requests.
The service will cover review requests concerning violations of Bahrain’s VAT Law, subject to specified exclusions for certain administrative fines.
The initiative forms part of Bahrain’s wider efforts to improve government services and advance digital transformation.
