UAE, 26 October, 2026: The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has reminded businesses with annual revenues of AED 50 million or more to appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) by 30 October 2026 under the UAE’s new e-invoicing system.
Businesses that miss the prescribed deadlines may face an administrative penalty of AED 5,000 for each month or part thereof of delay, including failure to appoint an ASP on time.
Key Deadlines
Revenue of AED 50 million or more: Appoint an ASP by 30 October 2026 and implement e-invoicing by 1 January 2027.
Revenue below AED 50 million: Appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027 and implement the system by 1 July 2027.
What Should Businesses Do?
Businesses should select an accredited service provider, sign the necessary agreement, complete technical integration, and follow the required procedures through the FTA’s EmaraTax platform.
The phased rollout aims to standardise and automate invoicing processes while strengthening tax compliance and supporting the UAE’s digital transformation.
Businesses are encouraged to review the applicable requirements and complete preparations well before their deadlines.
