UAE, 07 March, 2024 : Dubai Chambers and DP World have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance Dubai’s global competitiveness. Under this agreement, Dubai Chambers will utilize DP World's global network to establish international representative offices at DP World’s facilities worldwide, supporting the Dubai Global initiative. Led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative aims to establish 50 international representative offices by 2030, attracting foreign investment, multinational companies, and global talent to Dubai.
Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, signed the agreement. It aligns with Dubai's ambition to expand its global reach and attract foreign direct investment. Last year, Dubai International Chamber, a part of Dubai Chambers, opened 16 new representative offices globally to support local businesses seeking international expansion.
The partnership leverages DP World's presence in 74 countries and Dubai Chambers' network of representative offices in 31 cities worldwide. It aims to facilitate international market access for Dubai-based companies, enabling them to scale operations, access new markets, and form cross-border partnerships. This collaboration underscores Dubai's commitment to fostering economic growth, attracting investments, and enhancing its global competitiveness in trade and investment.
