KSA, 12 March, 2024 : Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is encouraging individuals to give Zakat optionally through the "ZAKATY" App or website using secure bank payment methods, SADAD, and Apple Pay.
"ZAKATY" calculates Zakat amounts for various funds and possessions, including money, gold, silver, shares, investment funds, and real estate. It issues invoices, sends reminders of Zakat dates, and calculates Zakat amounts for gold based on purity.
The service is linked to international gold and silver prices and Tadawul for share and investment fund prices. It aligns with fatwas issued by the Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta and is supervised by Zakat jurisprudence and accounting specialists.
The aim is to facilitate Zakat payments through efficient and flexible channels, ensuring collected amounts reach eligible beneficiaries through HRSD’s Social Security. "ZAKATY" has witnessed increased interaction and app downloads due to its user-friendly design and reliable payment methods.
