UAE, 29 March, 2024 : Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, aided Euromercato, a UAE-based company, in expanding its presence in the European food sector. Euromercato joined a trade mission to the Anuga Food Fair in Germany, organized by the chamber. Through this initiative, Euromercato held over 30 bilateral meetings, fostering partnerships with top European food producers.
With the chamber's assistance, Euromercato secured five trade agreements, importing authentic Italian food products from renowned European brands. These agreements included collaborations with Arteolio, Maison Andresy, and others. Additionally, Euromercato strengthened existing ties and forged new distribution agreements with European suppliers during the trade mission.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the organization's dedication to empowering local companies and fostering international growth opportunities. This support aims to bolster Dubai's foreign trade and facilitate the expansion of local businesses into global markets.
According to Mohammed Alshehhi, CEO of Euromercato, the UAE offers promising opportunities for companies like theirs, especially in sectors such as gourmet food. The country's thriving tourism industry, coupled with a growing luxury hospitality sector, has spurred demand for high-quality dining experiences.
Dubai International Chamber assists Dubai-based companies in exploring business prospects in 30 priority markets globally. The chamber aims to establish 50 international representative offices worldwide by the decade's end, further facilitating international trade and investment for Dubai's private sector.
