FTA Encourages Business Sectors to Support 'Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme

UAE, 05 April, 2024 The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has called upon business sectors to contribute ideas and proposals for the sustainable development of its services. This initiative aligns with the UAE Government's 'Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme,' aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, and flexibility while streamlining government procedures.

At a Suhoor event hosted by the FTA and attended by various business sector representatives, including Khalid Ali Al Bustani, FTA Director-General, and Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Hawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment, collaboration and communication between government and private sectors were emphasized.

Al Bustani highlighted the significance of continuous engagement with all business sectors to understand their opinions and integrate their contributions into the Authority's sustainable development plans.

The FTA is committed to launching initiatives to accelerate tax procedures and contribute to the 'Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme,' which aims to eliminate 2,000 government processes within a year, reducing service time by 50%.

Efforts will focus on providing streamlined services and reducing procedure times in line with the programme's objectives.

Stakeholder collaboration is essential for achieving optimal outcomes. The FTA conducts regular meetings and brainstorming sessions to gather feedback and integrate practical experiences into development projects and initiatives.

Attendees, comprising representatives from SMEs, large companies, and government entities, were briefed on Corporate Tax implementation developments. Taxpayers were reminded of the deadline for submitting registration requests, emphasizing compliance to avoid violating tax legislation.
