Saudi Finance Minister Heads Delegation to IMF-WBG 2024 Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C.

KSA, 15 April, 2024 : His Excellency the Saudi Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, is set to lead the Kingdom's delegation at the IMF and World Bank Group 2024 Spring Meetings from April 15-20, 2024.

The Saudi delegation comprises high-ranking officials, including the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), Mr. Ayman Alsayari, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Mr. Sultan Almarshad,and other key representatives from finance and economic sectors.

Minister Aljadaan will chair the first meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) during the Kingdom's three-year Chairmanship. Discussions will focus on global economic developments, growth prospects, and policy priorities for financial assistance and capacity-building.

Additionally, Minister Aljadaan and SAMA Governor Alsayari will attend the 2nd G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, as well as a session of the World Bank Group's Development Committee. These meetings aim to address global economic challenges and enhance international cooperation.

The Spring Meetings gather finance ministers, central bankers, and global leaders to discuss global economic concerns, sustainable development, and poverty eradication.
