KSA, 29 April, 2024 : The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is poised to establish its inaugural regional headquarters in Riyadh's Mohammed Bin Salman Non-Profit City, marking a strategic partnership with the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation (Misk) to bolster youth engagement in the non-profit sector.
Announced during the World Economic Forum Special Meeting in Riyadh, this collaboration signifies a milestone for both entities. The regional office will serve as a central hub for the Gates Foundation's initiatives across the region, amplifying its impact in vital areas such as education, health, and technology.
The agreement, inked by Misk CEO Dr. Badr Al Badr and Joe Cerrell, Gates Foundation's managing director for Europe, Middle East, and East Asia, aims to empower Saudi youth and foster an environment conducive to global impact.
By combining their resources and expertise, Misk and the Gates Foundation aspire to offer substantial empowerment opportunities for youth and kickstart joint global initiatives.
