KSA, 8 May, 2024 : Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, Saudi Minister of Commerce, recently met with key Malaysian officials in Kuala Lumpur to discuss bilateral cooperation. Meetings included discussions with Malaysian ministers Ion Benedick, Mohamad Sabu, and Alexander Nanta Linggi, focusing on areas such as SME support, training, knowledge transfer, innovation, and sustainability.
Conversations highlighted facilities for businesses in both countries and Saudi Arabia's aspiration to become a global trade and logistics hub. Cooperation in innovation, emerging technologies, research, and e-commerce were emphasized. Meetings with Malaysian business sectors addressed reforms, legislation, and opportunities for bilateral partnerships.
The Saudi delegation included officials from various government agencies such as the Ministries of Trade, Investment, Education, Industry and Mineral Resources, Environment, Water and Agriculture, and more. Additionally, the Federation of Saudi Chambers was represented by businessmen from the national business sector.
