General Tax Authority Honored for Supporting Financial Education Program

Qatar, 5 June, 2024 : The General Tax Authority (GTA) was recognized for its silver sponsorship of the 9th edition of the Financial Cadres program, organized by the Qatar Finance and Business Academy. The three-month program aims to empower Qatari graduates and newcomers to the labor market by enhancing their skills and knowledge in the financial services sector.

During the graduation ceremony of the program's ninth cohort, H.E. Mr. Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Kuwari, President of the General Tax Authority, was honored for GTA's sponsorship. He expressed the authority's commitment to supporting educational initiatives for national cadres in finance and business, viewing it as an investment in Qatar's future financial sector leaders.

The sponsorship reflects GTA's belief in the importance of educating and training Qatari cadres, contributing to the country's economic development. Empowering the next generation of financial professionals aligns with the mutual priorities of GTA and the Qatar Finance and Business Academy, both recognizing its role in propelling sustainable development in Qatar.

Notably, three employees from the General Tax Authority were among the graduates of the latest program, which saw approximately 80 participants selected from over 300 applicants.
