UAE, 6 June, 2024 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has issued a call to resident juridical persons with licenses issued in March and April to complete their Corporate Tax registration by June 30, 2024. This is in accordance with Federal Tax Authority Decision No. (3) of 2024, which sets the deadlines for Corporate Tax registration.
The FTA emphasized that failing to register by the specified deadline could result in administrative penalties as outlined in Cabinet Decision No. (75) of 2023, pertaining to violations under Federal Decree Law No. (47) of 2022 on Corporate Taxation.
Resident natural persons earning over AED 1 million from business activities within a Georgian calendar year must register by March 31 of the following year. Non-resident individuals earning over AED 1 million must register within three months of becoming eligible.
Businesses can register via the "EmaraTax" platform, accessible 24/7, which allows for a streamlined registration process. Existing VAT or excise tax registrants can access their accounts directly, while new users must create a profile on the platform.
For additional assistance, the FTA provides registration support through Government Service Centers across the UAE, where specialists help taxpayers with their applications.
