KSA, 6 June, 2024 : The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, met with the Director General of the GCC Railways Authority, Eng. Mohammad Al Shabrami, at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, Albudaiwi received updates on the progress and achievements of the GCC states' railway project, along with future plans to advance the initiative.
He highlighted the significance of completing the project within the designated timeframe, underscoring the efforts made to overcome obstacles hindering its progress. Albudaiwi emphasized the positive impact of the railway project on intra-trade exchange, freedom of movement for GCC citizens and residents, and joint investments among GCC states, thus fostering economic integration.
Albudaiwi emphasized the project's role in enhancing GCC connectivity and integration, meeting the aspirations of the region's people.
