Qatar, 11 July, 2024 : Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, H E Denis Becirovic, met with Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, in Sarajevo to strengthen bilateral ties. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in economy, tourism, and culture, as well as developments in Gaza and joint mediation efforts for peace in the region.
Chairman Becirovic praised Qatar’s role in achieving ceasefire in Gaza and expressed Bosnia and Herzegovina’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations.
Minister Al Khater expressed gratitude for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s support in international forums, highlighting mutual cooperation in various fields.
Additionally, Minister Al Khater met with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Human Rights and Refugees, H E Dr. Sevlid Hortic, discussing collaborations in human rights, education, and development sectors.
The meeting underscored Bosnia and Herzegovina’s aspiration to strengthen ties with Qatar and recognized Qatar’s efforts towards peace in Gaza.
Ambassador of Qatar to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H E Meshal bin Ali Al Attiyah, was present at both meetings.
