Oman, 11 September, 2024 : A delegation from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) visited the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) today. They met with Dr. Ali Masoud Al Sunaidi, Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ), and Eng. Ahmed Ali Akaak, CEO of SEZAD, along with other officials.
The meeting focused on SEZAD’s infrastructure projects aimed at boosting local and foreign investment. Discussions also included potential collaboration with AIIB to finance new projects in the zone.
The AIIB delegation expressed a strong interest in deepening cooperation and expanding its operations in Duqm. Notably, Oman is a contributing member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
