Oman, 12 September, 2024 : Qais Mohammed al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, and his delegation met with US government officials, Congress members, and representatives from sectors such as energy, health, IT, and tourism. The discussions focused on strengthening investment and trade partnerships between Oman and the United States, highlighting opportunities in line with Oman Vision 2040.
The talks also explored how to leverage the Oman-US free trade agreement (FTA) for mutual benefit.
During the visit, Al Yousef met with Omani students in New York, Washington, and Arizona, and the delegation toured several American cities. The Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center in Washington hosted a reception where Al Yousef detailed the visit’s objectives. The Vice President of the US Export-Import Bank praised Oman’s efforts to boost economic cooperation. The delegation also toured the Cultural Center, learning about Omani culture and heritage.
