Oman, 25 September, 2024 : The trade exchange between Oman and Saudi Arabia has surpassed RO 1 billion, reaching RO 1,014,494,718 by the end of June 2024, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Metal products were the largest export from Oman to Saudi Arabia, valued at RO 160,547,747, followed by minerals and related products at RO 95,036,061, and machinery, digital devices, and electric equipment at RO 33,592,718.
Conversely, metal products also topped the list of imports from Saudi Arabia to Oman, valued at RO 284,941,374. This was followed by chemicals and related industries at RO 137,967,829, and food industry products, including drinks and tobacco, which totaled RO 38,882,937.
Saudi investment in Oman has increased significantly, reaching RO 121.1 million, up from RO 80.6 million in 2021, marking a 50.2% rise. Meanwhile, Omani direct investment in Saudi Arabia amounted to RO 129.1 million by the end of 2022.
