GCC-Azerbaijan Economic Forum Highlights New Opportunities for Cooperation

Oman, 27 September, 2024 : The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), participated in the 2nd GCC-Azerbaijan Economic Forum, held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Organized by the Federation of GCC Chambers in collaboration with Azerbaijan's Export and Investment Promotion Agency, the forum focused on "Sustainability, Investments, Partnerships."

A key outcome was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides, aiming to boost cooperation in investment projects, export promotion, and information exchange. Discussion panels covered renewable energy, clean energy, water, electricity, and transport logistics, as well as strategic partnerships in agriculture, food security, and food industries.

B2B meetings between GCC and Azerbaijani businesspeople were also held on the sidelines.
