UAE, 21 October, 2024 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) successfully participated in the 44th GITEX Global 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The FTA’s stand drew significant attention from government and private sector representatives, as well as individual visitors, showcasing cutting-edge digital services and solutions.
H.E. Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the FTA, emphasized the Authority’s focus on leveraging the latest technologies to enhance tax services. At the event, the FTA highlighted its achievements in digital transformation, aligning with the UAE’s Digital Government Strategy aimed at reducing bureaucracy and improving customer satisfaction.
Key highlights included the FTA's Robotic Process Automation (RPA) system for tax registration, the VAT calculator for commercial real estate, and updates to the 'Maskan' and 'EmaraTax' applications. These services were developed to streamline processes and ensure compliance with tax regulations, contributing to the national economy’s growth.
The FTA also announced the implementation of 29 processes across 15 services aimed at reducing bureaucracy, with a goal to achieve 70 Zero Bureaucracy processes in the next three years. Collaboration with the Dubai Land Department and the Ministry of Justice on digital solutions further demonstrated the FTA’s commitment to enhancing user experience and tax system efficiency.
The FTA’s participation at GITEX Global 2024 underscored its role in modernizing the UAE’s tax services, with visitors expressing strong interest in its innovative initiatives and smart service solutions.
