KSA, 22 October, 2024 : Saudi Minister of Finance and Chair of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), Mohammed Al-Jadaan, participated in Macro Week at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) on October 21, 2024, in Washington, D.C., held alongside the 2024 IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings.
In his speech, Al-Jadaan stressed the importance of multilateral cooperation to tackle global risks and promote sustainable economic growth, particularly for low-income nations facing the greatest challenges. He urged international financial institutions to adapt swiftly and focus on capacity-building to address issues like poverty and inequality.
PIIE's Macro Week brings together finance ministers, central bankers, and global leaders to discuss key macroeconomic issues and strategies for strengthening global economic stability and growth.
