Oman, 22 October, 2024 : The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority of Jordan. The agreement aims to promote economic and investment growth between the two regions.
The MoU was signed by Eng. Ahmed Hassan Al Dheeb, Deputy Chairman of OPAZ, and Nayef Hameidi Al Fayez, Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. It focuses on attracting investments to special economic zones and sharing expertise on laws, regulations, and the management of such zones.
During the MoU signing, Al Fayez and his delegation visited key projects in Duqm, including Duqm Port, the Dry Dock, and the Karwa Motors factory.
