UAE, 5 November, 2024 : The UAE’s Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has called on Resident Juridical Persons with licenses issued in October or November to register for Corporate Tax by November 30, 2024. This deadline applies regardless of the license issuance year and aligns with FTA Decision No. 3 of 2024 on Corporate Tax registration timelines.
The FTA emphasized that failure to comply with the registration deadlines will result in penalties as outlined in Cabinet Decision No. 75 of 2023. The decision requires that all Resident and Non-Resident Juridical Persons registered before March 1, 2024, complete registration according to the month of license issuance. For entities with multiple licenses, the earliest issuance date applies, even if one license has expired.
Corporate Tax registration can be completed on the EmaraTax platform, accessible around the clock, with a simplified process that takes approximately 30 minutes. Existing Value Added Tax or Excise Tax registrants can use their EmaraTax accounts for Corporate Tax registration. Alternatively, Taxable Persons may register through authorized Tax Agents or government service centers.
