Qatar, 2 January, 2025 : The General Tax Authority (GTA) has confirmed the tax return filing period for entities with a fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. The filing period will open on January 1, 2025, and close on April 30, 2025.
This filing requirement is in accordance with the Income Tax Law (Law No. 24 of 2018), its Executive Regulations, and subsequent amendments. It applies to all entities subject to the law, including tax-exempt companies, those fully owned by Qatari or other GCC nationals, and companies with non-Qatari partners.
The GTA has emphasized the importance of submitting tax returns through the Dhareeba tax portal within the specified period to ensure compliance. The authority continues its efforts to streamline the tax return process by providing integrated services designed to simplify filing and offer guidance to businesses in fulfilling their tax obligations.
To assist taxpayers, the GTA offers support through its call center and via email. This move aligns with the GTA's ongoing commitment to enhancing tax compliance, supporting Qatar’s fiscal policies, and promoting sustainable economic growth through efficient and effective tax administration.
