The Authority warned that late filing may result in penalties ranging from 5% to 25% of the unpaid tax amount, in addition to a monthly late payment fine of 5% for delayed payments.
ZATCA advised taxpayers to complete their filings through the official ZATCA website and encouraged businesses to contact its support channels for assistance regarding Excise Tax compliance.
Excise Tax in Saudi Arabia applies to products considered harmful to public health or the environment, including tobacco products, energy drinks, and sweetened beverages.
