KSA, February 15, 2024 : Saudi Arabia's general budget for the fourth quarter of 2023 recorded a deficit of approximately SR36.99 billion, with revenues totaling SR357.98 billion and expenses reaching SR394.97 billion, as per the Ministry of Finance. This marked a slight increase in the deficit compared to the previous quarter's SR35.77 billion shortfall.
In the third quarter of 2023, non-oil revenues surged by 53 percent to SR111.5 billion, while oil revenues fell by 36 percent to SR147 billion. Overall revenues decreased by 14 percent to SR258.5 billion, while expenses rose by two percent to SR294.3 billion compared to the same quarter in 2022.
