Bahrain, 05 March, 2024 : Bahrain's Finance and National Economy Minister, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, hosted a delegation led by Algernon Yau, Hong Kong's Minister of Commerce and Economic Development, in Manama.
The meeting underscored the ongoing development and growth in bilateral relations, with a focus on enhancing cooperation across various domains. Discussions revolved around strengthening ties in financial and economic sectors, along with insights into global economic trends.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the signing of agreements aimed at promoting and safeguarding investments, alongside a double tax avoidance agreement. Shaikh Salman emphasized the pivotal role of these agreements in bolstering economic, trade, and investment relations between Bahrain and Hong Kong, while also fostering cooperation and opening new avenues for mutual collaboration to the benefit of both sides.
