This event aimed to confront the challenges prevailing within the tax sector by presenting a range of innovative projects and technological solutions.

The Hackathon served as a convergence point for diverse participants, including developers, programmers, students, entrepreneurs, and government representatives, each contributing unique insights and ideas to enhance tax awareness, streamline procedures, support small and medium enterprises with tax filings, and combat tax evasion.

H.E. Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the FTA, underscored the Authority's unwavering commitment to harnessing technology for innovative projects that ultimately enhance the tax service ecosystem. The Hackathon, in particular, provided a platform to spotlight and encourage innovators, aligning seamlessly with the FTA's overarching digital transformation strategy. Winners of the Hackathon will be meticulously evaluated based on a set of criteria encompassing creativity, innovation, data utilization, solution quality, usability, and feasibility.

This initiative ultimately aims to cultivate and develop efficient tax solutions in line with the highest global standards, fostering an environment conducive to sustainable economic growth and compliance.
