KSA, 03 April, 2024 : Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) have signed a diplomatic training agreement aimed at strengthening information and research cooperation.
The agreement, signed by Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji and British Minister of State Lord Tariq Ahmad, involves a collaboration program between the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and the UK's FCDO.
Both parties highlighted the importance of the program in establishing and enhancing cooperation in information exchange, research activities, and training programs.
During a remote meeting via video call, discussions encompassed various topics including conflicts in Gaza and Sudan, as well as Saudi-UK collaboration in development efforts.
Lord Ahmad expressed his satisfaction in signing the training agreement with Deputy Foreign Minister Al-Khuraiji, emphasizing discussions on urgent matters such as the need for cessation of fighting in Gaza and steps towards a two-state solution, as well as conflict resolution in Sudan and development cooperation.
