Hi

I have a query, if an employee is drawing salary in a UAE company but he is staying outside the UAE for more than  300 days in a year.  Will his salary income come under Salary income or business income as he needs to be more than 180 days in UAE to be eligible for Tax resident in UAE to claim 0% tax on his UAE income.

Hi Sarthak, If an employee of a UAE company stays outside the UAE for more than 300 days in a year they might not qualify for tax residency in the UAE and may not be eligible for the 0% tax rate on UAE income whether their income is classified as salary or business income depends on their employment arrangement
