UAE, 22 April, 2024 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has reminded resident corporations with licenses issued in January and February to submit their Corporate Tax registration applications by 31st May 2024. This reminder aims to ensure compliance with FTA Decision No.3 of 2024, effective from 1st March 2024.
Failure to meet the deadline will result in administrative penalties as outlined in Cabinet Decision No. 10 of 2024. The penalties apply to both juridical and natural persons, whether resident or non-resident.
The FTA encourages stakeholders to familiarize themselves with the Corporate Tax Law and related guides available on their website FTA Website
Registration can be completed via the EmaraTax digital platform, accessible through the FTA's e-Services portal. The process takes approximately 30 minutes, and existing VAT or Excise Tax registrants can use their accounts to streamline Corporate Tax registration.
New users should create a profile on the e-Services portal using their email and phone number. They can then proceed to complete the Corporate Tax registration by selecting the relevant option.
Additionally, the FTA offers assistance through multiple Government Service Centres across the UAE. Trained staff at these centres ensure efficient and quality service delivery.
Upon successful application and verification, applicants will receive their Tax Registration Number (TRN) via email.
