UAE, 8 May, 2024 : During a visit to Jakarta, Mohammad Ali bin Rashed Lootah, President & CEO of Dubai Chambers, revealed that Indonesian investments in Dubai totaled AED 188 million (US$51 million) in 2023, making up 87% of total Indonesian investments over the past five years. Lootah highlighted Dubai Chambers' commitment to supporting private sector expansion into global markets and attracting diverse businesses to Dubai.
Emphasizing promising investment opportunities in Indonesia, Lootah cited sectors like automotive, real estate, and agriculture, particularly in tropical fruit exports. He noted that 15 new Indonesian companies joined Dubai Chambers in the first quarter of 2024, bringing the total active Indonesian companies in Dubai to 114 by March.
Lootah highlighted the significant growth in Indonesian companies in Dubai, rising from 29 in 2014 to 114 by the end of Q1 2024, marking a 293% increase. He expressed confidence that Dubai Chambers' initiatives will continue to drive the growth of Indonesian businesses in Dubai in the future.
