UAE, 11 June, 2024 : Hassan Berkani, President of the Casablanca-Settat Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, revealed that the UAE has become the largest Arab investor in Morocco and the second-largest globally. Berkani anticipates a doubling of investment volumes in the coming years.
Speaking during a trade mission organized by the Dubai International Chamber to Senegal and Morocco, Berkani highlighted the significant development in UAE-Moroccan relations. According to statistics from the Office des Changes in Morocco, UAE exports to Morocco reached approximately MAD13.187 billion (AED4.85 billion) in 2023, with Moroccan exports to the UAE totaling about MAD2.019 billion (AED742 million) in the same year.
Underlining the growing collaboration, the Casablanca-Settat Chamber and the Dubai International Chamber have signed a partnership agreement to bolster institutional cooperation. This agreement aims to facilitate increased trade and investment exchanges between businessmen from both countries.
