BCCI and Ministry of Industry and Commerce Convene 44th Joint Economic Committee Meeting

Bahrain, 11 July, 2024 :  The Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) convened their forty-fourth Joint Economic Committee meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters. Chaired by HE Mr. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and HE Mr. Sameer Nass, BCCI Chairman, the meeting was attended by officials and committee members from both sides.

Minister Fakhro reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to bolstering the commercial and economic sectors amid comprehensive development initiatives led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and overseen by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He highlighted the pivotal role of the private sector in bolstering the GDP, underscoring BCCI’s role in championing projects and initiatives that positively impact the national economy. The Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation to achieve shared economic goals.

Chairman Nass underscored the meetings’ positive impact on economic activities, emphasizing the private sector’s significant contribution to Bahrain’s economic growth. He affirmed BCCI’s dedication to strengthening the national economy in response to global economic dynamics, commending the Ministry’s steadfast support for the private sector.

The meeting concluded with mutual appreciation for ongoing collaboration and a commitment to further enhance economic cooperation between the public and private sectors in Bahrain.
