Qatar, 26 September, 2024 : Qatar's Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, and Czech Republic’s Minister of Industry and Trade, H.E. Jozef Síkela, co-chaired the inaugural session of the Qatar-Czech Joint Committee for Economic, Commercial, and Technical Cooperation in Doha from September 23 to 24, 2024.
The session included representatives from various ministries and organizations, including Transport, Public Health, and Qatar Airways, who discussed cooperation in sectors such as trade, investment, transport, education, and technology.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the committee's role in exploring collaborative opportunities, highlighting the Czech Republic as a vital partner in Qatar's Third National Development Strategy, which focuses on sustainable economic diversification. He encouraged Czech companies to invest in Qatar’s market and underscored the importance of public-private partnerships to boost trade and industrial cooperation.
The Minister also proposed the establishment of a joint business council to further enhance trade relations and organize joint exhibitions between the two countries.
