Qatar, 26 September, 2024 : H.E. Mr. Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Kuwari, President of the General Tax Authority (GTA), participated in the 5th Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Forum (BRITACOF) held in Hong Kong from September 24 to 26. His attendance, alongside Hong Kong Chief Executive Mr. John Lee, underscores the GTA's commitment to enhancing transparency and international collaboration in the tax sector.
The forum gathered leaders and representatives from tax administrations globally, as well as delegates from international organizations and the business sector. Discussions focused on building cooperation in tax management and capacity building, particularly in support of the Belt and Road Initiative, while fostering constructive dialogue among key stakeholders. The GTA's involvement highlights its vital role in promoting sustainable economic development locally and internationally.
