FTA Unveils Digital Transformation Initiatives at GITEX Global 2024

UAE, 11 October, 2024 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is set to participate in GITEX Global 2024, which begins on 14 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre. With over 6,500 exhibitors and 1,800 speakers from 180 countries, the FTA will showcase its latest digital transformation initiatives during the five-day event.

H.E. Khalid Ali Al Bustani, FTA Director General, emphasized the Authority’s commitment to aligning with the UAE’s digital strategy by introducing innovative, smart systems that enhance client services. “Our participation in GITEX allows us to explore new technologies to further modernize FTA’s services,” said Al Bustani. He highlighted that these efforts align with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, aiming to reduce service times by 50%.

The FTA will introduce key initiatives, including the fully digital Maskan app for VAT recovery on home construction, updates to the EmaraTax smart services app, and enhancements to corporate tax registration and electronic invoicing. A special focus will also be on the AI-powered "My Procedures" system, which optimizes the Authority’s internal processes.

Workshops and presentations will be held throughout the event to engage visitors, collect feedback, and demonstrate the FTA’s commitment to service improvement and client satisfaction.
