FTA and Dubai Land Department Partner to Launch Digital Solutions for Enhanced Real Estate Tax Compliance

UAE, 16 October, 2024 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) and Dubai Land Department have announced a strategic partnership to enhance tax compliance in real estate and commercial land sales through innovative digital solutions. The collaboration, which aims to streamline VAT collection for these transactions, was unveiled at GITEX Global 2024.

The first phase of the initiative has been completed, with data-sharing mechanisms established. Additional digital features are under development and will be announced soon.

His Excellency Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of FTA, highlighted that the partnership simplifies processes, saves time, and promotes a transparent tax environment. He emphasized that the integration aligns real estate transactions with FTA systems to ensure efficient VAT collection.

His Excellency Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Land Department, stated that the collaboration supports Dubai's digital transformation, making tax compliance easier for the real estate sector and reinforcing the emirate’s economic vision.

The partnership will also focus on joint initiatives, tax awareness campaigns, and training programs to strengthen compliance across the real estate sector.
