UAE, 14 March, 2025 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has urged registrants to take advantage of the extended grace period until March 31, 2025, to update their tax records and avoid administrative penalties.
According to the Cabinet Decision on Tax Procedures, registrants must notify the FTA within 20 business days of any changes to their registered data. Failure to do so may result in penalties. The required updates include business name, address, email, trade licence activities, legal entity type, partnership agreements, articles of association, and business nature.
To encourage compliance, the Cabinet approved a grace period from January 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, ensuring that no penalties will be imposed on those who update their records within this timeframe. Additionally, any fines issued during this period for late updates will be waived and reimbursed.
The FTA emphasized that the initiative aims to simplify tax procedures, enhance compliance, and support economic growth. Registrants can access further details through the Public Clarifications service on the FTA’s official website: tax.gov.ae.
