ZATCA Urges Taxpayers to Act Before June 30 to Benefit from Fine Cancellation Initiative

KSA, 3 June, 2025 : The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is urging all taxpayers to take advantage of its extended “Cancellation of Fines and Exemption of Penalties Initiative,” set to end on June 30, 2025.

The initiative offers relief from a range of penalties, including late registration, payment, and return filing fines under all tax laws, as well as corrections to VAT returns and violations related to e-invoicing and general VAT compliance.

To qualify, taxpayers must:

  • Be registered with ZATCA

  • Submit all outstanding tax returns

  • Pay the full principal tax due

An installment option is also available if requested before the deadline, with timely payments required per the approved plan. However, the initiative excludes penalties related to tax evasion and fines paid before its effective date.

ZATCA encourages taxpayers to review the full guideline on its website and reach out for support through its 24/7 call center (19993), X account (@Zatca_Care), email (info@zatca.gov.sa), or live chat on zatca.gov.sa.
