UAE, 03 April, 2024 : In a bid to revolutionize tax services and enhance user experience, the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has unveiled the EmaraTax app, a cutting-edge digital platform offering a wide array of services to taxpayers. Launched during the 43rd GITEX GLOBAL in October 2023, the app marks a significant milestone in the FTA's journey towards digital transformation and efficient tax administration.
The FTA emphasized that the EmaraTax app is designed to streamline tax procedures, facilitate voluntary tax compliance, and provide proactive services to taxpayers. Since its launch, users have conducted over 4,570 operations through the app, highlighting its popularity and effectiveness in simplifying tax-related tasks.
Key features of the EmaraTax app include:
- Accessibility: Available for download on both Apple App Store and Google Play, ensuring widespread availability to smartphone users.
- Range of Services: Offers 35 digital tax services, including VAT, Excise Tax, and Corporate Tax procedures, enabling users to manage their tax operations with precision, speed, efficiency, and transparency.
- Continuous Updates: The app is regularly updated to align with the FTA's evolving services and expansion plans, ensuring seamless user experience and compliance with tax regulations.
- Corporate Tax Services: Recently added 15 services related to Corporate Tax, enhancing the app's utility for businesses and individuals subject to Corporate Tax obligations.
- Integration with UAE PASS: Relies on the UAE PASS digital identity solution for unified access, enhancing security and convenience for users across various government services.
Khalid Ali Al Bustani, FTA Director-General, expressed the Authority's commitment to leveraging technology to improve efficiency and service quality, in line with the UAE Government's Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. He highlighted the FTA's ambitious development plans aimed at reducing bureaucracy, enhancing digital connectivity, and delivering tangible benefits to taxpayers.
Abdulla Al Bastaki, Executive Director of the Information Technology Sector at the FTA, emphasized the app's role in advancing the tax system and positioning the FTA as a global leader in tax administration. He highlighted collaborative efforts with stakeholders and continuous feedback mechanisms to ensure the app's effectiveness and user satisfaction.
The launch of the EmaraTax app underscores the FTA's dedication to innovation, efficiency, and customer-centricity, setting new standards for digital tax services and contributing to the UAE's vision of a modern, technology-driven economy.
