UAE, 05 April, 2024 : The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, a part of Dubai Chambers, recently hosted a networking event bringing together representatives from various digital sector companies. The focus was on strategies to empower these firms to drive Dubai's digital transformation and harness the potential of advanced technologies like AI and blockchain for economic growth.
In attendance were key figures including Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, alongside Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers. A survey conducted during the session aimed to gather insights and recommendations for creating a supportive environment conducive to company growth.
Participants highlighted Dubai's advanced work infrastructure and ongoing efforts to enhance international competitiveness, making it an attractive hub for skilled professionals in cutting-edge technologies. They stressed the importance of initiatives from the Chamber to facilitate dialogue between public and private sectors to address challenges in advancing the digital economy.
Moreover, there was consensus on the necessity of expanding digital knowledge exchange platforms for the private sector. Participants emphasized the importance of providing tailored support to startups and SMEs to keep pace with technological advancements, thereby enhancing growth and innovation capabilities.
Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, emphasized the importance of transparent conversations in amplifying Dubai's digital ecosystem success. He highlighted the Chamber's commitment to driving Dubai's transformation into a leading global digital economy in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) objectives.
